Is Guwahati going to be the next Bangalore city?

   

 

 Guwahati is becoming the fastest growing city in the country. And the fastest economic state also. But there is a problem which is stated by the people of city.

 

 Whenever you want to go for a quick ride to reach your destination then there is a problem raises in your mind that how to reach on time?

 

Yes, time is the factor here, which is the common calculation to be a part of the ride.

 Because whenever you open the google map on your phone, it searches the fastest route but becomes Red on going. And this happens every day.

 

 

Let’s read and understand that what may be the main causes of these problems-

 

1. Increasing of personal four wheelers: -

 

If we go back in the past 90's or 2000 then we could realize that the number of personal vehicles like cars were very low in the numbers. but when you see it now in 2025, then the numbers are increased in weird way. 

Because buying a new car is an easy task than finding a new bride for a groom in the country. That’s why a new car is easily available on the road.

 

In early days to buy a car for a middle-class family was a great budget issue due to low income. And the income source in 2025 has been little grown up but still a problem because the expenditures have no boundaries.

The auto market has become like the fashion industry where you get new models and features to launch to attract the new customers. 

So, when a family is trapped in this market buzz then without any huge requirement they go for a new car. And so, on the Guwahati has filled of cars than the public transport.

As the area of the city is not so huge and above all it misses the wide roads, so the road traffic problem will continue in the future.

The solution of this problem is that without reason, we should not take out the car. But instead of that if two wheelers or public transport is recommended by the people then it cares a lot.

 

2. God knows who has given the driving license :-

Yes, this dialogue is common on the road. Because people drives their vehicle in the wrong way and stuck their vehicle in the middle of the jam.

 

This is very important for everyone as a driver to know about the driving rules.

In Guwahati, as the roads are not so wide, then it is the duty of every driver to follow some rules on the road. 

When you know that the road is having only two lanes then it is better not to make the 3rd lane because it is seen every day on the road that a huge vehicle tries to make another lane in between of the traffic out of the two lanes and other vehicles also follow it back and the road traffic got stuck and jam.

So, it is better to follow the car one after another to get the best result and for a smooth road traffic.

 But still if you want a new car then you will get one very easily because company dealers are waiting for you anytime. And banks are always opening their wide jaws to grab you.

 If you are a car lover or not, you are going to be the part of it very soon. Because the tag line has been created in the market buzz that “car lena toh jaruri hai”.

 

3. Annoying commercial drivers in the city: -

 

A city of a state grows economically with the help of every citizen. Where commercial vehicles also play the role in the progress. But on the road, commercial vehicles like buses, trucks, mini- trucks, small tempos, mini- public transports etc are another main cause of the road traffic jam.

 

 For example: - Ravi Das is going for an interview for the job and it is 12 km distance far. He has taken a bus from Jhalukbari to G.S road. And he has to reach on time for the interview. But the bus driver is stopping his bus on the stoppage more than the usual time and in result behind his bus other buses are also standing in que and so on the road has jammed with the vehicles behind the bus.  

This is also a huge problem is seen by the commercial drivers in the city.

 

4. Parking of the vehicles in wrong way: -

Parking of the vehicle not in proper way can lead to a traffic jam. Not only main road but in any lane of the city.

 We should always park the vehicle in a proper way by understanding the condition of the road and the place. 

 We should think and observe the place properly that if we park on that place then the space should be available to pass by any huge vehicle from both ends.

 We should not park the vehicle in no-parking area. And if possible then we should take a proper paid parking. Because they have huge spaces for the parking.

 

But it is not seen because people want to save a penny and results it causes a huge traffic jam and later a big penalty by the traffic police to the driver.

 

5. Some temporary causes-

Yes, some of the temporary causes like building new road bridges, road constructions, diversion of the road are also adding in.

 Guwahati is getting renovated of its structures by new roadways, bridges and because of that roads are getting slow traffic.

 It is also known to the people of the city that development is also needed to the city. So, the above conditions are very necessary to follow on the road to avoid these traffic jam problems.

 We know that Guwahati faces flood problems in rainy seasons since long time so it is better to go in a smart way on the road.
